Brief History of Saint Helena

Saint Helena is a neighborhood in the Dundalk area of Maryland and also the southeasternmost neighborhood in Baltimore City. Because the Baltimore City and Baltimore County boundary line runs through the area, it is geographically located in both Baltimore City and Baltimore City. Saint Helena has a population of 547 people and offers its residents a sparse suburban feel. Consisting of mostly rowhouses and detached homes, 65% of the residents own their homes. The area of Saint Helena was established by Colonel Arthur Bryan. He is said to have acquired the land as a grant from Lord Baltimore. Col. It is now named after the island in the South Atlantic Ocean where Napoleon Bonaparte was exiled.

St. Helena Convenience Store can be found on the corner of St. Helena Ave. and Central Ave. The store provides essential products for the residents of St. Helena. It is open daily from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Donna's Tavern & Restaurant

A local hub of St. Helena, Donna's Tavern & Restaurant provides the community with cold beverages, delicious food and outstanding entertainment. Its specialties are the 99 flavors of wings and the Maryland Crap Soup. The restaurant also offers a spacious room to dance and a pool table for recreation.

It is located on Pine Ave. and open Mondays through Thursdays from 12 p.m. to 2 a.m. On Fridays, it is open from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The hours for Saturdays are the same as Mondays. On Sundays, it is open from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. Every Tuesday night is 1st Responder Appreciation Night from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. Customers can show their badge to receive 10% off their total check, in addition to the special prices on the menu items.

Fort Holabird Park

Fort Holabird Park is operated by the Baltimore City Department of Recreation and Parks. It is open daily from dawn to dusk and has an overall size of larger than a football field. The park features open space, a baseball field and an outdoor basketball court. Pets are also allowed on the premises if they are on a leash.

St. Helena Park

St. Helena Park is another recreation spot in the neighborhood of St. Helena. The 16 acres park offers visitors a shaded playground, ball fields, picnic area and restrooms. It also includes a dog park with dog water fountains.
