The Tilden Woods Local Park is another park that caters to the residents of Old Georgetown Estates. The 7 acre park is open from dawn to dusk and features a softball field, basketball court, pickleball, picnic area, playground, and two lighted tennis courts. The tennis courts are open until 11 p.m. In 1961, it was acquired by the M-NCPPC. Within the park is an activity building that visitors are able to rent out. Also within the Tilden Woods Local Park is the Tilden Woods Stream Valley Park. The 65.5 acre park offers beautiful areas for visitors to enjoy the scenic view of the natural stream valleys. There's a bridge available for crossing and overlooking the valley. The M-NCPPC acquired the park in 1970.
The other recreational attraction in the area of Old Georgetown Estates is the Tilden Woods Pool. This pool is located near the Tilden Wood Local Park and is opened Monday to Friday from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. when the Montgomery County Public Schools are in session. After the school year, the pool is open from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. on weekdays. It is opened from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on the weekends. Swim lessons and summer programs are available at the pool. Membership rates range from $250 to $830. Tilden Woods Pool is known as the summertime heart of the community.
