Pasadena is a census-designated place (CDP) in northern Anne Arundel County, Maryland. It has a total area of 16.1 square miles and is located at the coordinates of 39.11281 degrees north latitude and 76.55187 degrees west longitude. The area is bordered by the city of Baltimore to the north, the tidal Patapsco River and the neighborhood of Rivera Beach to the east, the neighborhood of Lake Shore to the southeast, Severna Park to the south, and Glen Burnie to the west.
Most residents living in the area refer to the communities of Lake Shore, Rivera Beach and Pasadena collectively as Pasadena. In the 2010 census, the community of Pasadena had a population of 24,287. Lake Waterford Park and Adaptive Recreation Complex is a 108 acres community park in Pasadena, MD. The park is located on the corner of Pasadena Rd. and Baltimore Annapolis Blvd. and is open from dawn to dusk. Amenities included in the park are an adaptive baseball field, two basketball courts, a 12-acre lake, fishing, multipurpose field, 3,500 feet nature trail, 1.3 miles paved trail, three pavilions, two pickleball courts, picnic area, playground and three tennis court. The adaptive baseball field can only be used with a permit. The three pavilions also require a permit or they can be rented out for large parties.
The Mountian Market Place is a shopping mall serving the residents of Pasadena. The mall is located on Mountain Rd. It features stores like Mr. Tire Auto Service Centers, H&R Block, Pasedana Market Wine & Spirits, Dollar Tree, Coinstar, Food Lion grocery store, Lighthouse Carwash and Caremart Pharmacy. There are also restaurants like Bella Napoli, Baskin-Robbins, Dunkin' and McDonald's within the shopping mall.
