The park is owned and operated by Anne Arundel County Recreation and Parks as a Department of Natural Resources (DNR) open space project. It offers amenities such as 10 baseball fields, basketball courts, BMX track, three multipurpose fields, pavilion, playground, picnic area, restrooms, tennis courts, paved and natural trails, and athletic clubs.
Chesapeake BMX is the BMX track in Severn Danza Park. It is a nonprofit track operated by Tom Sinchak and Charles Ellis. In 2019, the track was ranked as number 1 among all the BMX tracks in Maryland. It is open Tuesdays through Thursdays from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Racing events are on Friday nights and Sunday afternoons. Makeup dates for these events are on Saturdays. Wednesday nights are practices. Come participate in or watch some awesome bicycle motocross racings.
Joe's - Oak Grove Tavern is a bar & grill hidden in the heart of Severn, just south of Cutler Ridge. It is open from 3 p.m. to 2 a.m. on Mondays through Thursdays and from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. on Fridays through Sundays. The tavern features three pool tables, a variety of dartboards, great food, music and friends. There is karaoke weekly, and pool leagues and dart leagues are being formed now.
