Springdale is an unincorporated area in Prince George's County, Maryland. The census-designated place (CDP) is within proximity to the communities of Ardmore. Westgate, Mitchellville, Glenarden and Ardwick Park. Martin Luther King Jr. Hwy., John Hanson Hwy., and the Capital Beltway bounds the northwest, north, and west side of the area, respectively. Residential properties in Springdale have values ranging from $150,000 to $500,000. These homes are served by the Prince George's County Public Schools District. Schools zoned for the area are the following:

Demographics

Charles Herbert Flowers High School

Charles Herbert Flowers High School is located on Ardwick Ardmore Rd., in Springdale. It was established in August 2000 for only grades 9 and 10. Today, it offers classes for 9th through 12th grade students as a comprehensive science and technology magnet school. The school serves most of the City of Glendale, portions of Landover CDP and Summerfield CDP, all of Lake Arbor CDP and Springdale CDP, and most of Mitchellville CDP and Woodmore CDP. As of the 2018 and 2019 school year, it has a total enrollment of 2,186 students.

Ardmore Park Building

Ardmore Park Building is a neighborhood recreation center in Springdale. Owned and managed by the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission (M-NCPPC), it is open Mondays through Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. The center features recreation opportunities such as a baseball and softball field, football and soccer field, open space, trails, outdoor basketball court, tennis court, outdoor practice wall, horseshoe pits. General park amenities include a playground, restrooms, drinking fountains, picnic tables and grills.
