The Gunpowder Falls State Park - Jones Road Area is part of the Gunpowder Falls State Park. It is located in the neighborhood of Gunpowder. To reduce erosion and control usage, it is only accessible after Labor Day and before Memorial Day.
Featured in the area is the Jones Road Trail. It runs along the Big Gunpowder Falls River, from Philadelphia Rd. to Pulaski Hwy. The Trail offers a bridge to cross between the two sides of the river. There are also a few spots where you could access the river for some water play. Walking on the Jones Road Trail gives visitors a great view of the Big Gunpowder Waterfall.
Brix In The Stix is a bar and grill in Gunpowder. Formally known as El's County Line Bar, the bar was recently open in April on Philadelphia Rd. It offers customers a lite menu featuring items such as fried duck fat fries, wings, burgers and tacos. Most nights, there are themed events to entertain the guest. Live music is also featured here. Brix In The Stix is open Saturdays through Wednesdays from 11 a.m. to 12 a.m. On Thursdays and Fridays, it is open from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m.
The Pulaski Flea Market can be found on Pulaski Hwy. It is a family-based based flea market open Thursdays through Sundays from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Vendors from around the area come to the market to sell a wide range of products, some of which are handmade. These vendors have the option to sell indoor or outdoor. To set up a table at the Pulaski Flea Market, it only costs $5.
Lunar Viper Allstars is a gymnastics club in Gunpowder. It is open from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, it is open from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. On Fridays, it is open from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. The facility includes amenities such as three full-size spring floors, one TV station on each spring floor for routine and technique review, an insulated gym area, three parent viewing areas, a 45 feet tumble track, a 50 feet tumble strip, and other tumbling equipment. The Lunar Viper Allstars' goal is to develop young athletes to focus on the importance of respect, education and leadership.
