In 1926, a group of members from what was called "The Amity Club" came together with the same goal to create a country club for all their members to host sports and social activities. Woodholme was purchased and had about two hundred acres of land, perfect for creating a country club, golf course and so much more.
In 1927, a temporary 9-hole golf course was completed and members slowly started to grow. A few years later the temporary golf course expanded to a new 18-hole golf course followed by a Clubhouse that was constructed shortly after.
Fast forward to the Spring of 1963, the clubhouse continued to increase with the addition of a snack shop, pool, and tennis courts. Today, the landscape of Woodholmes has undergone many renovations and is round of the modern additions and elegance it provides guests.
Members of the club can enjoy the 15 tennis courts, Olympic-sized swimming pool, and Tennis and Golf Pro Shops, located near the main Clubhouse.
The golf course consists of lush green landscaping, tees, and mountainous fairways. Choose from five sets of tees to play from with over 5000 yards of play. The course includes sever water crossing, five par 5's and an exceptional par 73, truly a gem of a course.
Guests can choose from two dining experiences at The Cafe for a more casual, family-friendly ambiance, to The Grille for a more sports bar setting with flat-screen TVs and sports games playing.
