It is bounded by the community of Viers Mill Village to the north, Connecticut Avenue Estates to the east and Rock Creek Woods to the south. The Rock Creek tributary is to its left. The fully accessible inline hockey rink is used on a first-come, first-serve basis. However, reservations for games can be made through Park Permits at Montgomery Parks. The rink is permitted every day from 9 a.m. to sunset. Inline rink rental fees are $10 an hour for Montogmery County residents and $12 an hour for non-residents.
The dog park at Dewey Local Park is open daily from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. It is closed on Tuesdays from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. for maintenance. Offering separate areas for small and large dogs, the park only allows dogs older than four months to enter. The dogs must also have their current licenses and rabies vaccination tags on display.
