Clayton is part of Harford County, Maryland. The unincorporated community has geographical coordinates of 39.450278 degrees north latitude and 76.354722 degrees west longitude and is 4 miles northwest of Edgewood. Located on Maryland Route 152, off of Interstate-95, the community is within proximity of Woodlea, Upper Falls, Kingsville, Pleasant Hills, Bradshaw and Joppatowne. Homes within the area are served by the Harford County Public Schools System.

Clayton Ridge Horse Farm

Clayton Ridge Horse Farm is located in the community of Clayton. The farm specializes in boarding and riding lessons and offers visitors an onsite indoor arena, outdoor jumps, and local offsite trails. Amenities provided are:

• A large outdoor jumping ring
• A lighted outdoor jumping ring
• A lighted indoor ring
• Training services for you and your horse
• Trailering services to local shows
• Weekly farrier visits
• Vet appointments
• Field Boarding
• Full Care Boarding

A field board is $350 a month and includes run-in sheds, tree lines, and food twice a day. The full care boarding is $450 per month and includes the horses being on a 12/12 schedule.

Clayton Ridge Horse Farm also offers riding lessons for people of all ages and levels. Specializing in hunter jumpers, lessons are available every day during the week and occasionally on the weekends. Lesson rates are $40 per hour for a group, $40 for half an hour for private, and $55 per hour for private.

Edwards Equestrian Facility

The Edwards Equestrian Facility was established in June 1988 by Larry and Peggy Nielsen. The 40-acre wooded property is situated just off of I-95, offering a stream and trails for exploration. Facilities and amenities featured are:

Clayton Rd. Nature Area

The Clayton Rd. Nature Area is managed by the Harford County Department of Parks and Recreation. It lies between Hilltop Dr. and Clayton Rd. and is open from dawn to dusk every day.
