Parklawn Local Park is another park within the vicinity of the Aspen Hill Park neighborhood. Located in the Rock Creek Stream Valley on Veirs Mill Rd., the 13-acre park is open from sunrise to sunset. It includes two soccer fields and community garden plots.
The Parklawn Community Garden is a garden in Parklawn Local Park operated by Montgomery Parks. It offers 40 plots that are 400 square feet each. Reservations to rent these plots are currently made online. A person is only permitted to rent one plot to provide more gardening opportunities for others. The community garden also includes fencing, water, shelter and a playground.
