Perry Hall Middle School is one of the designated public schools that's within the Perry Hall CDP. It is situated on Ebenezer Rd., near Perry Hall Elementary School and Perry Hall High School. With an enrollment of 1,888 students, Perry Hall Middle is the largest middle school in Baltimore County. It passes the state-rated school capacity of 1643. The middle school serves grades sixth through eighth and has a student-to-teacher ratio of 17 to 1. Based on state test scores, 49% of the students are proficient in reading and 43% are in math. Perry Hall Middle School has an overall Niche grade of a B plus and a GreatSchools rating of a 5 out of 10.
Located across the street from Perry Hall Middle School is the Perry Hall Square Shopping Center. It is one of the many shopping centers catering to the residents in the community. The shopping center includes an Outback Steakhouse, Rommel Ace Home Center, Gaint Food, Dr. Isaacs, Nawy and Stern Orthodontics, Village Gem, H&R Block, AMF Perry Hall, B J's Pub and Brian Bunce Barbers.
Angel Park is the largest all-inclusive playground designed to accommodate children with special needs in Baltimore County. To eliminate physical and social barriers to inclusion, the park was designed by Leathers & Associates and had inputs from 4,500 children in the Perry Hall area. It was created by Kelli and Andy Szczybor in memory of their son Ryan, who died of leukemia when he was a baby. The project was funded by the community through fundraising and private donations and featured a playground and amphitheater. The playground offers a wheelchair-accessible "shaky bridge," therapeutic swings, a Braille panel, 30-foot accessible zip lines, and quiet resting spaces.
